The Cross Country was held on 26 March 2024 in beautiful sunny conditions.
The day was a combination of fun, music, colour and competitive running as we added a Colour Run to our normal Cross Country event allowing students to enjoy a leisurely jog while getting covered in paint powder delivered by enthusiastic teachers.
Over 330 sausages, 200 drinks, 250 Zooper Doopers and cakes from a bake sale were sold raising valuable funds for the Sports Committee and the SRC. Students sat under our new shaded COLA enjoying each other’s company while waiting for their event to be called.
In the cross country itself excellent efforts were displayed by some very talented athletes in all age groups. A big thank you to all staff who ran, especially Mr Richards, who completed the course five times running with all of boy’s age groups.
The following students were age champions and will lead the charge for our school at the Zone Carnival next term: 12 Boys Sai V, 13 Boys Isaac S, 14 Boys Alexander S, 15 Boys Sam P, 16 Boys Chase R, 17 Boys Elliott F, 18 Boys Rojan F, 12 Girls Sri V, Nala A, 14 Girls Kyra J, 15 Girls Milla H, 16 Girls Narelle B, 17 Girls Darcy A, 18 Girls Poppy B.
