2024 Yewar 7 Mount Keira Geography Excursion

Year 7 Geography students attended the Geography Mount Keira excursion on the 12th and 13th of June. They conducted a variety of field work activities, learnt about the processes of landforms and landscapes. They also learnt about how significant and culturally important Mount Keira is to our local Aboriginal community. Thank you to all the students for making it a wonderful experience. Thank you to all of the teachers who attended; Ms Donna Markham, Mr Christopher Tuxford, Ms Armi Wilson, Ms Alex Ashton and Ms Amelia Valensise.

Wil-

It was great doing all the measuring with the little measuring tools.😀

Nella-

I really enjoyed checking the soil moisture levels with the measuring tools, I also enjoyed climbing the rocks on the bushwalks and hanging out with my friends.

Stormie

It was really fun and engaging. All the leaders seemed so nice and my leader Nikki was awesome she really gave us a lot of understanding into Geera. It was a lot of fun and even if you were not in the same group as your friends you got a lot of time with them in the breaks anyways.
