Year 10 students had a valuable experience at the University of Wollongong Discovery Day. Students had the opportunity to participate in interactive workshops based on their interest areas, including Law, Entrepreneurial Business, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Coding, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, Renewable Energies, Exercise Science, Fitness, Education, Nursing, Design, Creative Writing, Visual Arts, Media Studies, International Relations and Social Work.
Students were also fortunate to take part in a valuable workshop focused on subject selection and career planning. The session helped the students better understand how their subject choices connect with their personal interests and long-term career goals, equipping them to make more informed decisions for the HSC. Students appreciated the opportunity to hear real-world advice from UOW professionals, gaining insights into what it takes to succeed in various industries and roles. This clearer sense of direction gave students a noticeable boost in both confidence and motivation.
Thank you to Mr MacKenzie, Mrs Panteleo & Mrs MacDonald for assisting in this productive day & supporting our Year 10 students.
